I hired Pedro and his crew based on a phone call I received from Pedro after entering my information in HomeAdvisor. He came out the next day to survey my yard and then emailed me a thorough estimate including the materials to be used and the work to be done (installing a French drain, and replanting my front lawn). Pedro and his crew performed the work just as described in the estimate. After a few days, I noticed that there was still a little bit of water surfacing on the newly planted turf. I called Pedro to inform him of this, and he came out later that week to survey the situation. He determined that there was actually an old drain pipe that had broken and was running underneath the newly planted lawn. He and his crew promptly dug up the newly planted lawn, and installed a new drain pipe to channel the water into the French drain that he had previously installed. Then they proceeded to put down a new layer of sand/soil mix and re-planted the lawn again - all of this with NO additional charge. I plan to hire Pedro and his crew again this spring to do some additional landscaping/tree trimming in my yard. I would highly recommend Ruiz Landscaping Services to anyone that wants a job well done at a fair price!

They cleaned up all the limb debris and raked out the entire area, that was very thoughtful and much appreciated! We have hired Pedro to replace our entire fence in the spring as well as repairing our drain fields along the back of the house. I am thrilled with the work done by the Ruiz Landscaping team. The owner, Pedro, is superior to work with. He explained exactly what I was getting and was reasonably priced. He met with me twice before starting my project to solidify the plans. Pedro and team started the work as promised, were extremely professional, and completed the job within the time proposed. Upon completion of the project, they cleaned up my entire yard and reseeded the grass where it had to be trenched for the irrigation pipes. Pedro programmed the WiFi application so I could control the watering from my cell phone. In addition to the irrigation system, Pedro and team prepared a section of my yard for a raised herb garden planter. They removed a large section of grass, put down black cloth to protect against weeds, laid a thick layer of drain rock, and even added irrigation capability to the raised garden container. I highly recommend Ruiz Landscaping for any major outdoor projects.

Ruiz Landscaping just completed a big backyard remodel project for us. Prior to this, our yard had wet and soggy grass most year, curved retaining wall making most of backyard space unusable. We were initially skeptical on how good of a quality this team can bring in - but they did an amazing job and now, our yard looks amazingly big and beautiful. This team removed the curved retaining wall, pushed it to the back towards fence to make backyard big & usable, removed the natural grass and replaced them with half pavers and half artificial turf, installed pavers on side walks, removed natural grass from front and put artificial turf, electrical wiring for pathway and focus lights, planted privacy trees. Team was professional, quality was great, completed the work on time and did not demand any money upfront. Definitely recommend Ruiz Landscaping!!!

I had an appointment this morning at 8:00 AM for a quote. He never showed up and never called to say he might be late. I've called twice to see if he was still coming out and it just goes to voicemail. After an hour and a half of waiting I decided he's not a company I would hire.

Pedro and his team at Ruiz Landscaping are the best. We recently built an outdoor living space and knew we needed a major yard update to bring our entire vision to life. We've used Ruiz Landscaping in the past for drainage and other smaller yard projects and knew we wanted his team to do this project too. Plus since this was such a big project for us we wanted to go with someone we knew we could trust and who would provide high-quality work. Ruiz Landscaping installed a full-yard irrigation system, removed our old lawn and brought in new sod, moved and transplanted some trees, built a fence around our garden area, installed new gate doors, leveled out our yard, brought in new bark and mulch, and last but not least created a paver pathway and circular firepit area with lighting. It all turned out AMAZING and we couldn't be happier.

Ruiz Landscaping did an outstanding job for us, replacing our front yard retaining wall with a greystone block wall. It was a tough job, requiring the crew to first remove the pressure-treated lumber one I had built 15 years ago. As far as me replacing the wall myself, I'm afraid that ship sailed years ago. One back surgery was enough. Folks, don't break your "do it yourself" bodies. Call Ruiz Landscaping - you won't regret it. These guys are amazing. The tan bricks match those already on my house. No doubt the new curb appeal has increased the value of our home. My wall was done in a week despite the April rains. The wall is 110 feet long and up to 45 inches high. The crew even worked under a canopy tent in the torrents. They were always punctual. I've been working almost daily in my new garden, planting dahlias, transplanting roses etc. No fewer than 4 neighbors have approached me asking for Ruiz's phone number. The price they gave me was four figures less than the nearest quote. Take my advice and just call these guys. You won't regret it.

He provided a detailed, item-by-item estimate of all the work involved. I could pick and choose what I wanted to get done.
